'The Mist - The Novella Cut V 2.1' is finally finished.
After several years of not having the spare time to attend to it, I finally had time to reopen the file and correct the minor aspects of the original fan edit that needed attention...
V 2.1 is now fully widescreen, a cleaner copy of the film, several small audio details have been corrected, and the ending sequence now features several new additional scenes to enhance the atmosphere and mood before the final pull back shot depicting the earth covered in mist...

 Norton Talks With StephanieAdded scene from Deleted Scenes on DVD...Stephanie meets Norton and mentions his recently passed wife (cancer), David informs her he is taking Norton to town with Billy...they all notice the approaching mist on the lake... |  Woman With Kids At Home VanishesAs was the case in the book, the Woman With Kids At Home now walks into the mist, never to see seen again (as is the case now with Brent Norton and his Flat Earth Society)...added effect to this Woman/Kids scene, we now hear a far away roar of a mist creature after she vanishes, implying that she was killed, just like the 3D audio production of The Mist did... |  Amanda Talks With BillyAdded scene from Deleted Scenes on DVD...Amanda attempts to distract/comfort Billy before David returns from battling the loading dock tentacles...added dialogue from David here as well. |
